Stereo Image and Pan
What it does
Example: You're using Garritan Abbey Road Studios CFX Lite to record a series of classical piano pieces that you've rehearsed. In your mix, you prefer that the listener feels as if they are at the piano, so you use the Performer Stereo Image.
The Stereo Image controls your perceived listening position relative to the piano by swapping the left and right speaker signals. By default, the Stereo Image is set to Audience, where you'll hear the piano as if you're watching a performance. In general, the low keys sound slightly to your right and the high keys sound slightly to the left. Setting the Stereo Image to Performer flips this perception, putting you on the piano bench, where the low keys sound to your left, and the high keys sound slightly to the right.
Similarly, the Pan knob moves all elements of the sound created within the plug-in or standalone player left or right.

- Click the Studio button. The Studio view appears.
- AdjustClick and drag the knob up or right to increase and down or left to decrease. the Pan knob to move the sound left or right.
