Pedal Noise

What it does

Mechanical noise from the pianist working the pedals is inherent in any piano, although the better the piano is maintained, the less audible the sound.

Example: While using the Player microphone perspective and a Performer Stereo Image, you add some pedal noise to give an even stronger impression of sitting at the bench of the piano.

The Garritan Abbey Road Studios CFX Concert Grand provides you with the ability to add varying amounts of pedal noise to the sound of the piano.

To add pedal noise

  1. Click the Piano button. The Piano view appears.
  2. AdjustClick and drag the knob up or right to increase and down or left to decrease. the Pedal Noise knob until you hear the desired amount of mechanical noise while pressing the pedals.
